Grace Belli is a British artist, living and working in Saint Petersburg. Her work is influenced by questions about our perception of life, the purpose of life, the act of creation, and the nature of God.
She studied fine art at Winchester School of Art, England, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art: Printmaking. Her artworks have taken many forms (drawing, canvases, photography, print-making and sculpture) influenced by the concepts behind the works.
Following University, Grace participated in group exhibitions, however, she became disillusioned with the art world in the UK, and life in the UK in general. Due to this, she stopped producing work for a period of time, and turned instead to literature.
Inspired by the works of Russian writers, and wishing to discover what truths lay beyond the words and ideas on the page, she moved to Saint Petersburg.
While living in Saint Petersburg, Grace’s creative spark returned, and thus she both found and returned to her natural home, the artist’s studio.
